Infant Massage Classes
An age-old tradition, infant massage classes can benefit your baby in a variety of ways. Our course will teach the parent or caregiver techniques to calm, comfort and soothe the infant. We recommend that your baby is a minimum of 3 months old and a maximum of right up until they’re walking.
Infant massage provides numerous advantages:
- Boosts immune system function
- Enhances infant-parent bonding
- Promotes better sleep
- Relieves gas and promotes elimination
This course is made up of three classes with each new technique demonstrated by the instructor, as well as detailing what was learned in previous classes.
Course fee: $125.00.
Combination Postpartum Preparation
A six-hour, one-day boot camp-style class, this option combines several different areas:
- Breastfeeding Basics: We want to help you feel prepared to breastfeed your baby. We’ll go over the anatomy and physiology of the breast, latching, what to expect after birth, recommended products, how family members can support a breastfeeding mom and support groups for breastfeeding families.
- Pumping Basics: You can feel confident in your ability to feed your baby when you can’t be with them. We’ll talk about how a pump works, pumping strategies and returning to work after your baby’s arrival.
- Baby Care Basics: To care for your baby at home, you’ll learn how to bathe, diaper, groom and soothe your newborn. We’ll also discuss the importance of nourishment and sleep for the entire family and products that might make that easier.
- Babywearing Basics: Wearing your baby is an effective way to soothe them while having your hands free. We’ll cover babywearing safety and look at different types of carriers, as well as the benefits involved.
